Chinese Zodiac Sign - Tiger Fine Art Print

The 3rd Chinese Zodiac Sign is Tiger. There are a variety of Tiger species throughout China. Tigers are often seen as dangerous but in this drawing I wanted to show a more playful and charming side of Tiger while still conveying the strength and grace of the animal. The ball that the Tiger is playing is a Chinese silk ball (Xiuqiu, 绣球) that is used as a token of love in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Many rose species are native to China too and have similar characteristics: dangerous but beautiful. Year: 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022.
